Situation one:
A: “Why is it too hot?”
B: “The air-conditioner is not working today.”
→B directly answers A’s question.
→This is a representative.
Situation two:
A: “The air-conditioner is not working to day.”
B: “Ok. I will repair it as soon as possible.”
→A indirectly requests B to repair the air-conditioner.
→This is a directive.
